Freymiller Trucking, Inc. originated in 1968 in the southwest Wisconsin community of Shullsburg. Don Freymiller bought a cattle truck to haul hogs to Milwaukee and cattle to local stockyards. By 1970, Freymiller Trucking was composed of two tractor/trailers and two straight trucks. The decision was made to branch out from hauling livestock, so Don purchased a new tractor and trailer to haul meat from Iowa to California . He back hauled produce from California to the Midwest . In the fall of 1970, Don bought his second refrigerated trailer and tractor. By 1972, Freymiller Trucking had five refrigerated trailers and had discontinued hauling livestock.

By 1974, the fleet had reached the size of twenty trucks and built the first terminal building in Shullsburg. One year later, with thirty trucks in the fleet, Freymiller Trucking had outgrown the first terminal and built an additional terminal building.

Freymiller Trucking continued it's slow, deliberate growth and by 1977 had expanded to fifty-six trucks. This year also marked an important time in Freymiller Trucking history due to operating authority being granted on regulated freight. In 1980, Freymiller Trucking relocated to Bakersfield California, due to the fact that the business had outgrown the capabilities of the small town of Shullsburg . This move took place when the industry was deregulating, interest rates were skyrocketing to levels never seen before and fuel prices were escalating. This period revealed the resiliency, determination, and dedication of the organization.

In 1994, Freymiller Trucking moved from Bakersfield to Oklahoma City , Oklahoma . With the new centrally located headquarters in Oklahoma City, the Company was in a better position to serve their Customers more efficiently.

In February of 1996, Freymiller Trucking, Inc. was sold. In August of 1996, the Freymiller family made the decision to start a new trucking company under the name of D & M Carriers, Inc. In 1999, the Freymiller family was officially able to market the Freymiller name again. Thus, Freymiller, Inc. was born. The same family providing the same integrity and quality service that the transportation industry has known since 1968.
